There are numerous walks staring right outside Woodbine House - so you don't need to drive for hours to reach your favourite walks.
Woodbine house is situated in the lovely Uig Bay along the Trotternish Peninsular.
The Quiraing is only a stone throw away from Woodbine House.
No experience necessary - just a sense of adventure
Skye is a walkers paradise. From family walks on the spectacular coastline to dramatic scrambles in the Cuillin mountains, the most challenging in Britain, the island provides fantastic walking for everyone.
Trotternish is one of the most magnificent landscape in Britain. The coastline is equally spectacular, bristling with stacks and pinnacles, its hidden features revealed only by walking.
Quiraing means 'a pillared enclosure', but the name doesn't do justice to this astonishing confusion of pinnacles, blocks and buttresses. The paths are rough in places but very dramatic.

A short, steep climb to this impressive pillar (49m). One of the most spectacular sights on the Isle of Skye. The Old Man of Storr can be at his most impressive seen through storm-torn clouds.
10 miles
Beinn Edra is one of the summits on the Trotternish Ridge, characterised by gentle slopes on the west and cliffs on the east. The approach can be muddy, but the crest of the ridge provides perfect walking on short grass and the views are stunning.
20 miles
The Trotternish Ridge Walk is a unique 20-mile high-level walk which involves no climbing or scrambling, yet which takes you into wild and primeval landscapes, and at every stage affords panoramic views that embrace the Cuillins, the Western Isles, and the mountains of Wester Ross.
Although no climbing skills are needed, the full ridge walk should only be undertaken by experienced and fully-equipped hill-walkers who have a map and guide book. Two days should be allowed for the full walk, and the weather reports closely studied. Mist can often descend rapidly, reducing visibility to effectively zero.
